Message from Bill:
Deana and I have lived here for almost thirty four years. Our children grew up here and both graduated from Tivy High School.
We love this community and have been involved in it in a variety of ways.
I was involved in helping to start Habitat for Humanity, CAM, Christian Women’s Job Corps and more. I served on the Advisory Boards of the Salvation Army and the Kerrville State Hospital. I was on the board of the Community Foundation and served as vice chairman. On the City’s Comprehensive Plan Committee of 2002, I was vice chairman. Presently I am on the Foundation Board of Peterson Health.
When I came as pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in 1984, the church encouraged me to be involved in the community, and I was glad to so. My twelve years as president of Partners in Ministry gave me the opportunity to gather resources to address the needs of children, youth, and those in poverty across Kerr County.
I believe Kerrville is a critical time as we look to the future for our city. The Comprehensive Plan now being developed with ample citizen input will help us with clear goals, priorities about resources, and ways to maintain the safety and beauty of the area as we see growth in the coming years.
To carry out these plans requires hard work, visionary leadership, and someone who is willing to bring people together to get things done and to see goals met.
